Posted on: November 26, 2009Mercury title Sea Point Days will be showing as part of The London African Film Festival. A screening of the film will take place at The Lexi Cinema in London at 4pm on Sunday November the 29th. Following the screening there will be a Q & A with producer Lucinda Englehart, for more information and to book tickets for this please visit The Lexi website here.
Sea Point Days is a beautifully crafted documentary that explores race, religion, identity, and homelessness in what was once an exclusive white suburb during the apartheid years. Englehart uses a swimming pool in Cape Town to draw upon modern day South Africa, a place in transition that is trying to forget its ugly past and suggest the possibility of a promising future.
