Mercury Titles on IDFA’s Docs for Sale Platform

MercuryMedia has finished the 2009 festival circuit with a successful IDFA. We hope you had an enjoyable and successful market as well.

In case you didn’t have the time to screen our films while you were there – the documentaries below screened during the festival are now running on the Docs for Sale online platform. This service will allow our documentaries to be viewed all year long.

Oil Spill: The Exxon Valdez Disaster

In 1989 Eleven million gallons of crude oil gushed from a tanker into the waters of the Prince William Sound, having catastrophic effects upon wildlife and local communities. A powerful and haunting documentary that explores the aftermath 20 years on.

Where the Water Meets the Sky

This is narrated by Academy Award-winner, Morgan Freeman with March of the Penguins scribe Jordan Roberts. An inspiring story of women in Northern Zambia. A community rarely given the chance to speak up, this film follows them as they learn how to make a film as a way of expressing their plight.

The Trial
Run Time: 52 minutes
This film follows the events of the unfolding trial of Ramush Haradinaj, former President and commander for Kosovo Liberation Army, accused by a war crimes tribunal for an alleged massacre in 1998.

Run Time: 95 minutes
A compelling portrait of the nation’s best high school basketball coach, Bob Hurley and his career-long struggle to inspire those around him in order to keep the doors of a poor, inner-city school open.
