joiningthedocs.tv is Mercury’s online video-on-demand channel. We have a small, highly skilled team with backgrounds in broadcasting, traditional distribution and digital media who are dedicated to creating the premiere on-demand channel for documentary. We have secured EU Media funding to develop the platform and are working hard to make documentary films available to as wide an audience as possible, while generating revenues for filmmakers.

We are looking to showcase compelling, creative films that have had limited exposure and deserve to be seen by a wider audience. Some will have had a theatrical release, and many have been shown on television or at festivals. Even if your film hasn’t been seen elsewhere, that doesn’t mean it isn’t right for us.

We are actively acquiring non-exclusive online rights from both producers and distributors. We are particularly interested in films from Europe, Africa and Asia. We work non-exclusively, which allows you to place your film on other sites if you wish to do so. We don’t pay advances, but we will pay you a percentage of the net receipts we receive.
