MercuryMedia specialises in the distribution of high-quality documentary films and series though new and traditional channels.
We offer producers and end-to-end service from theatrical through to digital on a fixed commission basis – including all marketing costs. Unlike our competitors we don’t charge clients additional fees for promoting their film to the trade.
So what are we looking for: Mercury films and series need to be entertaining, counterintuitive, preferably have unique access and must tell the audience something new about the world. We don’t mind difficult subjects nor do we shy away from controversy or polemics especially if the film is well made and passionately delivered.
In order to market your film we need a well-made trailer, great stills, a fully timed script and a press-pack. We also like it if you have a website for your film but its not an absolute necessity.
Preferably your film is shot in HD, in 16 x 9, and if it is feature length it should come in a made for TV length version too (this is between 52 and 57 minutes). If we have to create technical materials for you, we will have to make a small charge but that will recouped against sales.
