Welcome to MercuryMedia
MercuryMedia was set up to develop and distribute documentaries for the international television market. In eight years we have built the company and are now recognised as one of the most innovative multi-platform distributors working in the industry today.
joiningthedots.tv, our on-line VOD documentary channel has just launched in partnership with The Independent Newspaper and we are working across the TV, theatrical, DVD, in-flight and educational markets with our films.
Mercury's catalogue has attracted the programming of some of the world's leading production companies and we put great store in the quality of our slate of documentaries and series. Our ethos is to inform, challenge, educate, entertain and provoke and whilst we are selective about who we work with, we are keen to develop new as well as proven talent.
What sets Mercury apart from its rivals is its ability to match the best programming to the most appropriate licensee. Put simply we make it our business to know what our clients want and how producers can provide it. Whether its ideas at treatment stage where we have the skills to co-develop proposals into commissionable properties, or finished programmes which we distribute, we put passion and dedication into our task.
Our clients include the UK majors, 'top-end' US broadcasters and leading international networks. We work in DVD distribution around the world and have just had our first theatrical release in the UK with Loose Change: Final Cut.
Our producer clients include Telemaco, Film Europa, Simongo! Productions, Nine Lives Documentary Productions, Saltire Film and Television Productions, Ohio Filmmakers LLC, Michael Hoff Productions, DCTV, Coal River Pictures, DTT Documentaries, Babalu Pictures, Louder Than Words, CTVC, Globalvision and Les Films Grain de Sable.
In 2008, we have already added seven new documentaries to our catalogue and we are actively looking for more producers to work with. We are represented at all the major markets and our acquisitions and sales teams can be found at documentary and film festivals around the world. |
